Rick Rodriguez

President

J. Rick Rodriguez, is the CEO and a principal of the Magi group of companies. Mr. Rodriguez has been successful in the real estate construction, development, brokerage and property management industries for over 17 years. He formed and managed four full service (construction, development, brokerage, property management) real estate organizations before forming the MAGI Companies, Inc. Mr. Rodriguez has experience building in Texas, Illinois and many areas of Spain.

Mr. Rodriguez is a member of the Young Entrepreneurs Organization, San Antonio Home Builders Association, San Antonio Real Estate Council and the San Antonio Apartment Association. He has served as Chairman of the Advisory Board to Texas A & M University's Masters Degree Program in Real Estate Development. Mr. Rodriguez has been an adjunct professorship at Texas A & M, in the Masters Program for Real Estate Development. Mr. Rodriguez holds a Masters Degree in Real Estate Development and a Bachelor's Degree in Building Construction, both from Texas A & M University.

  



Jeff Galt

Chief Operating Officer

Jeff Galt joined Brass in 2007 as Chief Operating Officer. Mr. Galt is a respected senior executive with more than 20 years of experience in finance, marketing, business development and general management in a variety of industries including real estate, technology, and education. Before joining the Brass organization, Jeff was President and CEO of Harcourt Assessment, Inc., a $350 million 1500-employee wholly-owned subsidiary of the international publishing giant, Reed Elsevier.

Prior to joining Harcourt, Mr. Galt was president and chief executive officer of NONSTOP Solutions, Inc., a start-up enterprise software company. Under Mr. Galt’s leadership, the company’s annual revenue grew from under $1 million to $15 million in just two years.

Prior to joining NONSTOP, Mr. Galt was president and chief executive officer of Dialog Information Services, a wholly owned subsidiary of the newspaper publishing giant Knight Ridder, Inc, with nearly 1,500 employees in the United States, Europe and Asia. While Mr. Galt was CEO, Dialog’s annual revenue grew from approximately $200 million to more than $300 million.

Before joining Dialog, Mr. Galt was executive vice president of planning and business development for Strategic Mortgage Services, where he developed and implemented new strategies that transformed this $20 million company into a leading provider of information services to the real estate industry. He also led the effort to acquire a $110 million real estate information business from TRW Information Services, where he had worked previously, and then managed the integration of the new business into Strategic Mortgage Services.

At TRW, Mr. Galt developed the strategy for, and was responsible for the development of, the first national full-service information business serving the real estate industry. During Jeff’s tenure the company grew to more than $200 million in annual sales providing appraisals, title reports, consumer credit reports, tax assessment records and flood zone reports to real estate investors and lenders. The business is now a unit of First American Corporation.

During his career, Jeff has been responsible for more than $700 million in acquisitions and divestitures in more than 30 transactions. He has raised more than $450 million in debt and equity capital in public markets in the US and Europe.

Mr. Galt holds bachelor degrees in economics and biological sciences from the University of California at Irvine and an MBA in general management and finance from the University of California at Berkeley.

  



Louis Pisano

Vice President

Louis recently joined Magi after an 18 year career managing the Service Department at Mercedes-Benz of San Antonio. His specialty is high-touch customer service. He will assist with property administration and service initiatives for all company-owned assets using his experience and his Construction Science degree from Texas A& M University. James Stewart

Director of Operations

James is responsible for the day to day operations for all of Magi’s real estate services. He has over 12 years experience in the Houston, Austin & San Antonio commercial real estate markets in both leasing and management, and over 15 years of experience in construction, construction management and space planning. During his career, James has managed over 2.5 million square feet and leased/renewed in excess of 500,000 square feet. Additionally, his responsibilities have included; Tenant finish out, property renovations, ad valorem tax protests, space planning, market analysis, marketing, and new property acquisitions/due diligence.

Over his career, James has been responsible for the acquisition and disposition of commercial real estate totaling more than $180 million.

  



Chad Steinmetz

Vice President of Operations Construction

Chad leads the Construction Services Division of MAGI, operating under the name Complete Construction Management LLC. Specializing in commercial interior construction for Brass Investment Properties and for property owners throughout the community

Over the past 25 years Chad’s construction career has spanned from Single-family, to Multi-family, to Commercial office finish-out, to Light Commercial ground up, and Retail finish-out. In 2005-06 He headed up a team that went to Louisiana for disaster recovery efforts after hurricane Katrina. During this operation he ran under two different Government entities simultaneously. The first was under the Army Corps of Engineers, performing demolition and debris removal. The second was for FEMA, performing delivery and set-up of temporary housing. The knowledge and skill set acquired over these 25 years makes Chad uniquely qualified to head up the construction team.

Ryan Harrison

Vice President

Ryan is a graduate of A&M University at Kingsville with a BBA in Marketing and has a proven tract record in sales over the past 5 years. Focused on efficient marketing strategies and strong tenant relationships, he creates rapid sustainable growth in occupancy for the Brass Real Estate owned properties. In the past twelve months, Ryan has leased/renewed over 60,000 square feet of office space at these properties. Jill Strauss

Leasing

Jill Strauss brings to Magi Real Estate over 13 years of experience in the real estate industry. Prior to joining the Magi team Jill was a successful agent in the Dallas area, specializing in the residential market. She holds a degree in Marketing from The University of Texas in Austin. Michael Kent

Leasing

Michael graduated from The University of Texas at Austin with a bachelor’s degree in Corporate Communications and a minor in Business Administration. He has 4 years of sales experience, but is new to the commercial real estate industry. As part of his sales experience, Michael was in outside sales for a radio advertising firm in Austin where he was a top producer for the company. Additionally, he was an integral part in creating on-air advertisements for hundred’s of businesses in a variety of markets across the US. Prior to coming to work for Magi he served as a buyer in the purchasing department at Labatt Food Service. Throughout his work career, Michael has excelled in client relations and goal oriented production. Michael’s core focus at Magi will be sourcing and developing new client relations as an integral part of Magi’s leasing team.

  



Holly Lopez

Property Manager

Holly Lopez is the Property Manager for the Brass Professional Center. Holly has over 9 years experience in Property Management of large portfolios of Office, Retail, and Warehouse/Industrial Space. Within the 9 year period, Holly has managed and assisted in managing over 25 properties consisting of over 2 million square feet. Holly is currently an active member of ACRA (Association of Commercial Realty Administrators), SABOMA (San Antonio Building Owners and Managers Association), IREM (Institute of Real Estate Management), CCIM (Certified Commercial Investment Member) and CREW (Commercial Real Estate Women). Kim Schwarz

Property Manager

Kim is the Property Manager for the Atrium and 10010 San Pedro, 2 office buildings in the City of San Antonio, Texas. She has 5 years experience in commercial property management, and over 10 years experience in the real estate industry. During her career, Kim has managed over 1.3 million square feet of property, including the largest office complex in the City of San Antonio.

Kim is an active member of BOMA, CREW, and IREM; as well as a CPM candidate working toward her designation.

  



Jennifer Ray

Manager of Acquisitions and Development

Jennifer Ray started her career with Magi in 2007. Before starting her career in commercial real estate Ms. Ray worked for an architecture firm in Austin, Texas. She has Bachelors in Environmental Design and a Masters in Real Estate and Land Development from Texas A&M University. Ms. Ray is responsible for acquisitions and project management including financial analysis and investment opportunities.

  



Kelly Bishop

Accounting

Kelly Bishop has been the controller for Magi and Brass Real Estate Funds since 1991. She graduated from Texas A&M in 1984 with a degree in Business Administration-Accounting. Kelly has over 20 years experience in all aspects of accounting and has always specialized in real estate operations and development. Kelly is responsible for accounts payable and receivable, general ledger, payroll and tax reporting, and bank reconciliation. Her responsibilities also include: mortgage payments, Lender communications and draw requests; investor accounts and distributions; all accounting for Magi Realty, Brass IV, and the general partners; overseeing the accounting for the partnerships; managing payroll benefits; all bank reconciliations.
